From Diagnosis to Hope

Battiti: A Heart of Support for Those Facing Congenital Heart Disease

Since 2024, Battiti – AICCA has been a point of reference in the daily lives of people with congenital heart disease and their families. The association was founded within Monaldi Hospital in Naples and has grown thanks to the collaboration of patients, families, doctors, cardiac surgeons, psychologists, and peer counselors, who work in the Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Cardiac Surgery, and GUCH – Grown Up Congenital Heart units.

Our goal is to transform a difficult experience into a positive resource: we help children, adolescents, and adults with congenital heart disease to recognize and face the challenges of their condition, supporting them through growth and the transition to adulthood, with greater awareness of both their limitations and their potential.

Through listening, emotional support, and practical assistance during critical moments of the clinical journey, we work every day to build a solid network of support and trust, alongside those who experience congenital heart disease not just as a diagnosis, but as part of their life story.
